Molokaii Film Fest 05

The MauiFEST Molokai Film Festival - "Molka'i Against Cancer" event, held on Aug. 20th, was called a "HUGE success" by those involved in staging the "magical day and amazing evening!" and by those in attendance.

Thanks go out to Hawai'i Filmmaker, Edgy Lee, who was honored as the recipient of this year's Aloha Visionary Filmmakers Award. Film Festival directors, Uncle Boy Kanae and Ken K. Martinez Burgmaier, along with Dr. Tom Vendetti were especially pleased to be able to show films under the stars at the Kaunakakai Ball Field - including the award winning Hawaiian film: "Ki ho Alu-Keola Beamer."

Also on hand to share their time and talents: Frank DeLima, Brittni Paiva, Lono, Maui Filmmaker-Ken K. Martinez Burgmaier, Did you know Big Island Slack Key sensation, Brittni Paiva, was interviewed on the spot for a National TV Special on ... MauiFEST Hawaii-Molokai Film Festival?

Special thanks to all the Moloka'i residents & visitors who came to the important and meaningful festival - most especially cancer survivor - Auntie Henrietta Mokiao and to Uncle Boy Kanae who worked so hard to make it all happen.
